Product Manager, Mobile

Full-time

San Francisco or New York

Make Kai a game people choose to play, not a task list they tolerate.

About the role

Every piece of data we deliver starts with someone opening Kai. Our Players are everyday people around the world, from college students to stay-at-home moms across Latin America, the Caribbean and Asia. Our job is to make Kai something they want to come back to every day. Right now our founders and engineers cover product in between everything else. You'll be the first person who owns it full time.

What you'll do

  • Own the Kai app end to end: onboarding, quests, rewards, streaks, leaderboards

  • Get new Players to their first payout fast. That's level one. Sign-ups are just the loading screen

  • Grow our monthly active Players. That's the high score: people who keep coming back, month after month

  • Shape the in-game economy with growth: what we pay, how rewards feel, what brings people back

  • Turn what our customers need collected into quests Players actually enjoy

  • Talk to Players. Lots of them, in lots of countries. Watch where they get stuck

  • Ship every week with engineering, design and growth

What we're looking for

  • You love games. You can explain why one loop works and another one doesn't

  • You've owned a consumer mobile product people used daily, and you moved MAUs, not just installs

  • You've built growth loops (referrals, streaks, live ops) and have the numbers to show for it

  • Technical enough to go deep with engineers and prototype on your own

  • Curious about people whose lives look nothing like yours

  • A little quirky. You'd rather ship something delightful than something safe

  • You write simply. We're remote-friendly, and concise writing is how we think clearly

Nice to have

  • Earning or gig apps, marketplaces, payouts across countries

  • Multilingual products

  • Flutter

Probably not for you if

You need a big team and a full roadmap process to get moving. Or you've managed roadmaps but haven't shipped anything with your own hands in a while. And if games aren't your thing, this one will feel like work.

Why now

Hard, valuable, fun. Making data collection fun enough that people choose it is a problem nobody has solved yet. You'll be the first product person on Kai, and you'll set how product works here.
